A2 Gir Cow Ghee Nasya Pack
Why Gir Cow Ghee?
Because Gir Cow Milk has only beta casein of variant A2
As seen from the excerpt in the research paper by National Dairy Research Institute
"Milk contains numerous components of nutritional and health benefit. Calcium is one example. An additional risk factor present in some bovine milk related to the beta casein has been discovered. Initially, three variants of beta casein were discovered and denoted as A, B and C. It was later found that the A variant could be resolved into A1, A2 and A3 by gel electrophoresis. The beta casein variants now known are A1, A2, A3, B, C, D, E and F, with A1and A2 being present in the milk in the highest proportions. Of Indian cow breeds, Desi Gir Cows of Gujarat have exclusive A2 beta casein variant. The debate about A1 and A2 milk types has been in the public arena for more than ten years. There have been lots of claims and counter claims about whether 'ordinary milk', which is a mixture of A1 and A2 milk, is linked to a range of disease conditions, and whether selecting for cows that produce only A2 milk can avoid these problems. We have successfully developed a method for typing DNA from cells available from the milk. We are also in the process of detecting A1 A2 beta casein variants from the milk sample. This is an innovative process for the isolation of DNA from milk and milk products. The DNA samples obtained from the milk and milk products were used for differentiation of A1 and A2 beta-casein by simple PCR technique. Cows' milk b-casein contains 209 amino acids. The A1 and A2 variants differ only at position 67, which is histidine in A1 or proline in A2 milk. (Another variant B b-casein also has histidine at positive 67. "

Where does our Gir Cow Milk & Ghee comes from:
We run a Veda Paathshala, and have a Gaushala as a part of it. Our cow milk comes from our own cows, not vendors. These are freely grazing cows , feed on grass grown on our own fields, no fertilisers or insecticides are used on our farm as a part of Ahimsa ethics on paathshala premises . Our Calf gets half , with two teats reserved for their drinking.
Further the milk is not creamed like many ghee makers do, but curded and then churned in bilhona process traditionally followed. The buttermilk is given away to local villagers and students.
No flavour enhancer, preservative or anything except Paan and a little aushadhi is added during Ghee making.
